Alder 9 is a newly constructed affordable housing community in Portland's Buckman neighborhood, developed through a partnership between Related Northwest and Centro Cultural. The project includes 159 apartment homes designed for seniors, multigenerational families, and households experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
The community features a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, including permanent supportive housing units, with extensive resident amenities such as a senior wellness center, community garden, rooftop terrace, fitness room, arts center, and employment services. Sustainable building features, including rooftop solar and enhanced landscaping funded through the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF), further support the project's long-term environmental goals.
PARCA Floors provided flooring installation services as part of the construction, helping deliver durable, high-performance interior finishes throughout the development.
